Ahead of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, CSFD publishes a policy brief

Ahead of its participation in the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, CSFD publishes a policy brief calling for better articulation between governance and knowledge-sharing systems on land management, biodiversity, climate and food and water security issues; at international, national and local levels.

This plea recognizes that the implementation of sustainable land management systems requires coherent and articulated policies and institutional mechanisms at all levels and in all sectors, as well as the mobilization of all stakeholders through representative and participatory governance arrangements.

In particular, it underlines the crucial role played by science-policy-society interfaces in considering, sharing and articulating the different forms of knowledge and modalities of action carried by all players, taking account of power asymmetries.
