Main activities

My research interest include the capacities of plant species to adapt to contemporary environmental changes. I have mainly studied the effects of fragmentation, pollinator decline and global warming on plant traits. Theoretical models of adaptation to “desert” type environments are classical models in evolutionary ecology (Bet hedging) on which I have worked theoretically. These models make it possible to formulate (general) predictions and to provide directions for applications. Such models have guided my approach to understand and demonstrate experimentally the changes in seed dissemination strategies in a fragmented urban environment in an annual species.
