1979-1989

 

10 yrs research on desertification assessement in southern Tunisia : ecological studies & intensive field campaigns for land degradation characterisation,

1990-1991

 

2 yrs visiting scientist at the University of Arizona (with Dr A.Huete) working on arid land hyperspectral measurements and properties, particularly soils

1992-2000

 

Coordinator of two euro-mediterranean research projects (EU funded) on satellite monitoring of desertification (in Tunisia and in the EC-JRC, Ispra, Italy)

2001-2006

 

Coordinator of the international research project  IRRIMED (EC supported, gathering scientists from France, NL, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan and Syria)
